The following is a letter written by Ben to his sister Grace.

Dear Sis Grace & Family- Aprill 22nd 1935

I have owed you a letter for some time and as the time has come when there is mote than my own force to cause me to pause for a few moments. I will at least say that I appreciated your letter and the thoughts contained therein. Now for an explanation of the aditional force. Mrs. A.C. Gonzalez is writing a bigoraphy of her Father and Mother and as Grandma Baker played some part in the lives of some of her family and as she says was a very dear friend of both, she would like to have a short story of Grandma Bakers life, especially pertaining to Old Mexico and if you hear any data of her friendship with, Mrs. Gonzalez Grandmother. Mrs Katherine Fay Martin whom Mrs. Gonzales thinks there was a very close frienship on account of their ages being somewhat the same. Now Mrs Gonzalez is almost finished with her writings she is desirious that you forward any and all information you can to her by return mail as Follows....
Give Mrs. Gonzales information as to Grandma Bakers, heritage, age, date entering Mexico, information on her blindness causes, length of time, etc. Her profession, Close frienships, more especially with her own people. Sorry I did not answer you before, But have been very busy trying to make that almighty dollar you made mention of. Love and Best wishes to all - Ben
