He was born in London, crossed the ocean at 10, and walked across the plains at 13. George Fredrick Jarvis was a Pioneer. Presented at the 2004 reunion by Donald Karl Jarvis.

Heber Jarvis was born 14 October 1860 in Salt Lake City, Utah; died 8 October 1953 in Mesa, Arizona; Married Susan Janet Smith 12 December 1883 in the St. George, Utah temple.

Emmaline Jarvis Cottam was the first child born in St. George. She married Thomas Cottam who later served (among other things) as President of the St. George Temple and Mayor of St. George. They had ten children.

Victoria Josephine Jarvis was a school teacher for many years before marrying George Miles slightly later in life. They had seven children. Shortly after their marriage, George was called on a four year mission in the Southern States.

Thomas William Jarvis was the last child of George and Ann Jarvis. He was killed by lightning on the steps of the St. George Tabernacle on April 5, 1881, when he was seven years old.
